WHAT IS THIS? WHERE AM I?!

Posted by Rahk December 3, 2009 at 9:14 PM

Exciting!

Posted by BW Diederich December 3, 2009 at 9:35 PM

Well done Mr Ashley. Best easter egg since the invisible dot in Adventure.

Posted by Douglas December 3, 2009 at 9:47 PM

Good lord. That took me so long to figure out. I’ve never done any audio editing before.
I can’t even imagine what kind of hell it must be to produce these things. If that was your intention of this (I’m assuming very easy task to those familiar to the editing process) easter egg, good going.

Yay, I finally managed to find the answer posted somewhere. I knew it had to do with the time on the poster and the show. I just didn’t think of messing around with the file. I edit shows every week and I didn’t think of looking at the wav form! I am an idiot! Nice job.

Posted by Gaald December 4, 2009 at 1:20 AM

I am complete. I am the everything. I am green.

Posted by Rez December 4, 2009 at 1:35 AM

Redrum.

Posted by Monster w21 Faces December 4, 2009 at 5:41 AM

I doubted that this actually existed. Yet, here it is. Damn.

Posted by DrJonez December 4, 2009 at 7:37 AM

Well, that sucked up more time than I thought it would, but awesome prize for it!

Posted by Chris Taran December 4, 2009 at 8:01 AM

is that really you, Robert? its hard to tell with the glasses and ‘tude.

Posted by shaun December 4, 2009 at 10:13 AM

I just beat Audacity thanks to the anger management skills I learned from video games!

Posted by chewlish December 4, 2009 at 11:06 AM

@shaun: Nope, that’s not me. That’s Adventureface: http://www.vimeo.com/tag:adventureface

He’s the guy who made the album art and video for I Come to Shanghai.

Posted by mike December 5, 2009 at 7:05 PM

Cool zone pro.

Posted by MattQ December 6, 2009 at 12:07 AM

That was actually a pretty fun easter-egg. I was surprised that I could ‘decode’ it with stuff that usually lays around on my computer, unused.
Keep making these pure-quality podcasts!

I was here and now I’m gone, I left this comment to turn you on.

Posted by coyo7e December 7, 2009 at 12:02 PM

Ahhhh yeaaaaa, found the fourth dimension! Finally got to listening to the episode and noticed the backwards 7:03 on the poster. Nice little puzzle. Feels good to be in the prozone now.

Posted by Nick Kunst December 7, 2009 at 7:51 PM

Can I have my IRL achievement points now?

Posted by Luis B. December 8, 2009 at 1:46 AM

Topic inspiration for your next episode: I cheated to find this easter egg.

Posted by Andy December 8, 2009 at 3:45 PM

Finally got a chance to listen to the show and my theory was proven correct.

It was hard to resist the urge to search out the answer, but I’m glad I got it on my own.

Posted by Jesse December 8, 2009 at 5:40 PM

I have entered the pro zone layer! All without cheat codes.

Posted by Kyle R. December 9, 2009 at 12:41 AM

hah, that was a really fun.
more puzzles in future episodes, please!

Posted by tekkrat December 9, 2009 at 5:58 AM

Finally got around to testing my theory and here I am. The Pro Zone!

These little extra details with the poster/puzzle/easter egg go a long way. Much appreciated!

Posted by dale December 9, 2009 at 12:38 PM

The real puzzle is just figuring out that there _is_ a puzzle. I would never have cared enough if not for Out Of The Game.

Posted by Fitz! December 9, 2009 at 12:50 PM

Welcome to the Prozone layer!

Posted by Leon Baillargeon December 10, 2009 at 12:19 PM

That was a pretty interesting little puzzle.

Posted by Taylor December 10, 2009 at 8:27 PM

Has anyone called the phone number?

Posted by Aaron Brunette December 10, 2009 at 8:38 PM

Cool! It probably just a coincidence, but anyone notice that the gun he shot himself with in the end is the same as dougs from pure pwnage? The same guy who also talks constantly about being pr0?
Awesome!

Posted by Bart December 14, 2009 at 3:22 PM

Awesome. Thanks to this easter egg I discovered that Audacity actually has been released for the Mac, and I Garageband is pretty f’n limited.

Posted by XaiaX December 17, 2009 at 8:49 PM

Bart, it’s the original grey Zapper from the NES before they turned it Orange to keep cops from shooting kids.

Posted by XaiaX December 17, 2009 at 8:51 PM

I’m pretty late to the party but I am very pleased with the prize. This was a lot of fun Robert Ashley and Olly Moss. Once again, thank you Audacity.

Posted by Woo January 13, 2010 at 3:12 AM

Though I’m late, the party continues (IN MY PANTS!!!)

And I would like to thank WavePad.

Posted by GamingBookworm January 22, 2010 at 2:28 PM

Hey, I made it. Does anything happen if you call the #?

Posted by jackhook January 26, 2010 at 6:53 AM

@jackhook: You get charged $50.

I kid. No, not a real number. Too many digits.

Posted by Robert Ashley January 26, 2010 at 10:05 AM

Just adding my “I dun; figurrred me it owwwwt!” mark here… Nice Easter Egg, Robert!

Posted by Seán Foley June 1, 2010 at 12:37 AM

I DUN IT!

Looked up Olly Moss after listening to the GB E3 podcast, remembered he did your posters, remember you hinting at something on Rebel FM, looked at the poster, found the time.

Posted by Louis June 21, 2010 at 11:42 AM

Better late than never to the Pro Zone.
The world needs more Easter Eggs – they make everything a wee bit better.

Posted by Scott June 23, 2010 at 5:44 AM

Oh my. The secret society of people in the Pro Zone. Took me until today to figure it out, but I’m glad I did.
