Finally! It’s been about 7 months! It’s downloading pretty slow right now, but I can’t wait to listen to it… and see if the wait was worth it.

I’m at 17% right now downloading it while riding the train. Somehow I don’t think my laptop battery will hold out. Will definitely be listening on the ride in tomorrow. Thanks for the hard work Robert. Can’t wait to hear the new single too!!!

Thanks! Sorry, we’re probably murdering your host with all this downloading… perhaps a torrent for when episodes are first uploaded?
Posted by Barton June 23, 2010 at 5:26 PM
Someone please mirror this asap.
Posted by impatient June 23, 2010 at 5:36 PM
Download is a little slow but we waited this long, so what’s the difference? Nice to see it’s finally here though. The poster looks great too.
Posted by Tom June 23, 2010 at 5:47 PM
The download’s going pretty slow. Any enterprising geek feel like uploading a torrent of it?

Here’s an idea:
Robert, please, in your spare time, release an instrumental album.
Fantastic production.

Fantastic episode! I woke up 13 hours ago to check if you posted it yet, and I f5′d your page too many times to state publicly, (Podcast, Updates, Merch, main, and Twitter.) It was a long wait, a big build-up, and completely worth it! Thank you! I’m sure all the love you put into it will be appreciated by a lot of listeners.
P.S. 8:35 had me literally laughing out loud.
Posted by Alan Greenfeld June 23, 2010 at 6:21 PM

Agh… it’s 4 in the morning here (UK) and it still has 4 hours left.
I’m looking forward to it though. I think I’ll listen to all the old ones again tomorrow. A day full of ALWW.

The download speed is ridiculous. I was hoping to have this on my mp3 player by the time I have to leave for work but that’s not going to happen. Damn it.

Why was that last segment even there. Really. The other parts kind of had something to do with gaming – that was just a man and his dick.
Posted by Ashface June 23, 2010 at 9:03 PM
Robert, you are a fucking maniac. All the hard work is definitely worth it. Thanks so much for this show!

Fatastic podcast, very interesting listen to and well produced. I’d like to ask you, what microphone(s) do you use in your production? It sounds crystal clear with no background noise.
Thank you

Wow…. I am quite excited about this! I always save these for a day when I need a pick me up. Thanks for all the hard work Robert!
Posted by I_Stink June 24, 2010 at 3:33 AM
I know it’s old to compare your show to This American Life, but at this point you’re doing a better job of connecting your stories to a single theme than they are.
I would also add your opening monologue was a chilling assessment of my general way of thinking: lots of ideas, little gusto.
Posted by feitclub June 24, 2010 at 3:43 AM
damn! I haven’t even listened to it yet, but am hell of excited.

I’m from Athens, GA so if you need tips on the local stuff there, send me an email. Moved to Ohio 9 years ago but I go back there once a year and have family there so I’m pretty well up to speed on what’s still there.
Be sure and check out The Grit if you want to see Michael Stipes often. Rocky’s pizza is good if that’s still there. The Taco Stand is some of my favorite Tex Mex anywhere.. And Jittery Joes coffee will change your life. Shows at the 40 Watt, I’d assume your band will be playing there. Lots of other bars you can play too. And go to The Varsity! You will not understand a word they say but their shakes, onion rings, and hot dogs are to die for.

The tragedy of you moving is that you won’t be able to guest on Rebel F.M. anymore.
