The bad news: A Life Well Wasted Episode 6 isn’t going to make it for release tomorrow.
The good news: It’s going to be really good. Or at least bad in some spectacular way.
Keep an ear out for a new release date. I think I’ll wait until I’m actually finished to announce one this time.
In the meantime, I’ll be here.

Worth the wait. Looking forward to it.

Man, I dig your studio.
… and don’t sweat it. Whenever is better than never.

Sorry to hear about the technical problems, Robert. Best of luck finishing the show. It is eagerly anticipated.

I will still wait patiently for your next episode. This is partly due to myself being a nerd and partly due to your show being the only Documentary podcast that revolves around gaming culture. So good show.

I have the utmost respect for what you do but I sometimes wonder if too much emphasis is put on the weird sound clips and music fills. I understand this has nothing to do with your technical problems and is not meant as an attack or anything. After listening to the last episode, I felt that the interviews spoke for themselves and the music seemed more like an interruption rather than a conducive sequitur between interview clips.
Once again, this is only constructive criticism and I think the music is great, just not in the middle of an interview. I would assume that much of the production speed would benefit from removing these extra blips and sound effects. Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to it!
By any chance, did you take that studio shot with Pano on the iPhone? I’m one of the devs (the designer), so if so, thank you

It wouldn’t be as good of an episode if you didn’t miss a self-made deadline. At this point its just part of the process. No matter what, we all look forward to it.

Take your time, I didn’t know it was ever even planned for tomorrow
Posted by DMack May 31, 2010 at 1:25 PM
Take your time. As long as you keep people in the loop, they’ll understand delays.

Thanks for the headsup, doesn’t feel good to miss a self-imposed deadline, but I’m really looking forward to hearing it. Bon chance.

I think you have the most forgiving audience ever, as we all have some appreciation of how hard you work.
Hard to feel anything other than love for someone that’s sweating to bring you free aural bliss.
I hope to hear you on Rebel.fm in the near future.

Is that a nocturn keyboard controller?

i never thought it was coming but I still think that when it does it will be spectacular.

Looking forward to it. Each episode is a treat!

Hey Robert,
Take your time with it, man. Your patient listeners remain patient; the previous 5 episodes have proved that ALWW is sentient and chooses its own arrival date.
To paraphrase Miles Davis: “It’s all about the notes you *don’t* play”.
Here’s hoping that someone smart somewhere realises the talent you have for this kind of lark and elects to afford you the freedom and cash to do what you please!
Be good. And eat more leafy greens.

Is that an octopad? I love those things.

It will be worth. the wait I love this series and every episode is worth the wait

You know, I loved the “b-side” interview you posted. I think we’d be happy with tidbits, short interviews, or a 5 minute preview. Can you tell we’re starved for more ALWW?

For someone who’s unemployed (you’re still unemployed right?) that’s a pretty sweet set up
I can’t wait for the show. You’re like the Blizzard of the podcast world.

If I can’t have it now i don’t want it at all damn it…..

Man, your studio is everything my studio aspires to be. I’m going to print that picture out and take it with me when I go to spend my next paycheque.
Posted by futtigue June 4, 2010 at 11:39 PM
For Christ’s sake Robert! you’re fucking useless! we put out Rebel FM every week with minimal tech issues yet you spend 8 months between shows and when you finally do put one out it’s about cosplayers or some such bullshit. just stop!
Posted by Aegies June 7, 2010 at 12:04 PM
So…I’m late to the game, but I love ALWW. Just listened to the Death of EGM episode and it rekindled the desire in me to write about videogames. I greatly anticipate the next installment, Mr. A.

Blue balls … ugh … must get ALWW! C’mon Bobbito, put that bad boy to bed!

I chipped in some donation money for the enjoyment you’ve given me, although it wasn’t nearly enough. Thanks for the awesome podcast!

Sonic Youth poster? It is a band, but could it be hinting at the new lithograph?
